Meetings - PARCA 2009

The Program for Arctic Regional Climate Assessment (PARCA) will hold its 2009 meeting in Seattle on Sept 30 and Oct 1, right after WAIS-FRISP.

Agenda (tentative)

  • General focus is Greenland
  • Field plans for 2010 and beyond
  • IceBridge (bed mapping needs, and links with ICESat and Cryosat)
  • Ice sheet mass balance--what will it take converge the mass balance estimates using different techniques?
  • Toward a new DEM for Greenland


Sept 30 and Oct 1. The day after WAIS-FRISP ends.

Meeting Location

The PARCA meeting likely will be held in Henderson Hall, Applied Physics Lab University of Washington, 1013 NE 40th Street, Seattle, WA 98105-6698. Depending on attendance, we may hold it an alternate site a 4-minute walk from Henderson Hall (new directions will be posted here if so). In either case, the person at the front desk of Henderson Hall can direct you to correct room.
